Job purpose To evaluate, manage and execute transactions under OQAE including, but not limited to: - Lead the financial evaluation and analysis of renewable energy projects and companies for potential investment, acquisition, or financing opportunities.
- Develop and present comprehensive financial models, valuations, and investment memoranda to support decision-making
- Structure and negotiate project financings, including debt and equity financings tailored to renewable energy projects.
- Identify, analyze, and execute M&A transactions, strategic partnerships, and joint ventures within the renewable energy sector.
- Conduct market research and industry analysis to inform investment strategies and keep abreast of sector trends and regulatory developments
- Build and maintain relationships with project developers, investors, financial institutions, and other stakeholders.
- Lead, mentor, and develop junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment

Main tasks and responsibilities: Strategic: - Oversees building and retaining capabilities within Investment and Financing department.
- Contribute to the company’s investment strategy and capital allocation .
Investment: - Work closely with the Business Development team in developing investment strategies for new opportunities
- Lead the financial evaluation and analysis of renewable energy projects for potential investment, acquisition, or financing opportunities and work closely with the Business Development team in identifying and addressing risks pre-emptively
- Conduct valuation analysis using different methods and provide insights about key drivers and risk elements
- Lead due diligence processes, conduct proper risk assessment, and ensure proposer risk allocation.
- Negotiate the transaction documents (eg: SHA, SPA.. etc) and ensure proper execution and risk management
- Present comprehensive investment proposals to decision makers
- Develop and present comprehensive financial models, valuations, and investment memoranda to support decision-making.
Financing: - Evaluate investment opportunities and the financing options to develop financing strategies that best serve the investment and corporate objectives.
- Coordinate due diligence processes, conduct proper risk assessment, and ensure proposer risk allocation
- Prepare banks presentations/IMs and engage with lenders towards achieving financial close
- Negotiate financing agreements and lead the process towards financial close
- Build and maintain relationship with banks, ECA’s and other sources of debt financing

Education requirements | - Minimum qualification required is a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Administration or related field
- Master or any other qualification is a plus.

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
- 16+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or a related financial services role with a focus on renewable energy, infrastructure, or infrastructure-related sectors.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CFA) are a plus.

- Strong leadership skills as well as the ability to communicate across all levels.
