Job Description

The candidate will be for 3 months training period as a part of the ESG and  ICV Team and will be required to provide contractual support ,operations wells and Engineering which are part of the operations team.   To ensure increased participation of Omanis in the oil and gas business. It is key to supporting the company’s charitable donations programs, as well as corporate sustainability reporting.

Manages day-to-day operations of our corporate contributions including grant program workflow, budgetary regulatory reporting, manage the internal and external reporting of the company’s sustainability initiatives, and administers ARA’s charitable grant program activities, Optimize workflow for evaluation of funds requests with appropriate internal and External committees, supports significant portions of the Company’s Sustainability messaging, Scoring and ratings to drive improvements in ARA’s sustainability reputation.

The Sustainability Analyst is responsible for supporting the development of business cases and implementation, management and review of programs and projects designed to assist ICV plans. As the country moving towards vision 2040 suitability is major pillar for economic growth. This position serves a strategic an important role to contribute to ARA E&P and serve our clients better.

Responsibilities, Accountabilities, job Activities:

  • Developing policies relating to a company’s ethical, sustainable, and environmental responsibilities and Ensuring ARA has a positive impact on local communities and the environment.
  • Raising public awareness of ARA’s social responsibility commitments through marketing.
  • Conducting research into best practice Writing and actioning a company's social responsibility strategy.
    Creating partnerships with clients, employees, suppliers, charities, and other groups.
  • Ensuring that ARA’s policies meet legal and commercial needs and Reporting on social responsibility activity to senior managers.
  • Provide data for regulatory and financial reporting. Assist in analysis, reconciliation as required and evaluate corporate social responsibility scoring templet.
  • Coordinate Corporate Social Responsibility with other key stakeholders in the Oman Oil and Gas sector to ensure alignment with on strategy and delivery of cross industry opportunities.
  • Research best practices in corporate grant management and actively consult with team members and management as needed to formulate, recommend, and implement solutions.
  • Tracks and measures the sustainability reporting initiatives and identifies gaps via benchmarking and evaluate scoring templet.
  • Monitors and benchmarks reporting trends and changes to reporting standards to provide insights and recommendations on advancing ARA’s external reporting practices.
  • Identifies, and prioritizes stakeholder questionnaires and surveys. Contributes to the development and review of responses to surveys from investors, suppliers, etc.
  • Manages all sustainability-driven disclosures, ensuring governance and controls of data.
  • Initiates, plans, executes and manages several sustainability projects and related goals/metrics. Drives for continuous improvement to ARA’s sustainability practices.
  • Deliver program management and governance functions for all sustainability capital expenditure projects and identify, procure, manage and commission large sustainability CAPEX/OPEX programs.
  • Manage works in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to deliver industry leading outcomes ensuring operational requirements are met.
  • Establish and implement best practice processes, procedures, templates, specifications and guidelines for all project types and frameworks for the measurement and verification of energy, water and waste efficiency projects.
Key challenges:

  • Influencing and engaging stakeholders to deliver on government’s sustainability policies and managing fixed budgets and challenging timeframes while delivering accurate and quality outcomes.
  • Ability to build trust, collaboration and fair partnerships with stakeholders and work autonomously and be proactive (take initiative) in delivering outcomes with little oversight.
  • Knowledge of good consultants, suppliers and installers in the industry.
  • Key knowledge and experience:
  • Demonstrated technical and sustainability project management experience at a service provider, client-side organization or within a consulting environment.
  • Knowledge of government sustainability policies.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Project and MS Excel.

Skills Required

Qualifications and Experience:

Fresh graduate staff and holding bachelor’s degree in engineering, Finance, or suitable Commercial discipline in the oil and gas industry in Contract and Procurement or Business Improvement roles.
