Job purpose Provides robust support while executing the activities for all RPI (OMT) Demand Management for Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), under delegated authority from Manager Demand Mgmt. RPI (OMT), acting as single point of contact between RPI (OMT) Business line and IDS function, by (1) Using a deep understanding of business processes and technology to Identify and elicit requirements capturing and prioritizing business demands, and (2) Provide support on business-led technology initiatives and ensure seamless and value orientated IT service delivery (3) Represents IT and act as internal consultant to the RPI OMT Process Owners helping to develop business cases for all IT investments, and (4) Managing system enhancements and changes, to ensure that OQ RPI IT Systems and Applications are aligned with the needs of the company The position will act in accordance with the Group’s Mission, Vision, Values & Strategies, as well as, policies, guidelines, and standards, supported by an IT Technology platform, HSE standards, Omani’s government & other legal justifications, and best international practices in consonance with national objectives. |
Main tasks and responsibilities - Maintain Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) demand process for new proposals with overall responsibility for steering these proposals through the early phases of approval.
- Develop and enhance relationships with key RPI OMT business stakeholders. This includes building positive relationship development, both horizontally and vertically, actively managing escalation of IT support requests, ensuring timely response, monitoring satisfaction levels, and avoiding risk.
- Address RPI OMT business demand by capturing high level technology requirements and identifying opportunities to add value.
- Ensure high level technology impact analysis is provided to business.
- Support defining SLAs and implementation of enterprise manufacturing applications (non-SAP applications and where Mfg. Apps interface to SAP) and ensuring that support is conducted as defined.
- Provide functional and level 2 support on all downstream related applications and systems.
- Ensures adherence to RPI OMT Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) best practices during implementations and matches these activities to available systems capabilities or researches and recommends alternatives.
- Support the RPI OMT Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Process Owners on prioritization of work and IT resources to optimize available resources and funds.
- Participate in projects in particular the area of process, cost-benefit analyses, QA/UAT testing as needed and training.
- Advice RPI OMT Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Business Owner with regards to SAP and other supporting systems related decisions, and ensure the business units understand the technology solution, overall solution delivery, and compliance to governance processes, architecture standards, etc.
- Resolve cross process issues with Demand Specialists in other functions.
- Keeps RPI OMT Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Process Owners informed of potential IT solutions.
- Maintain active communication with Downstream business stakeholders both during normal business conditions and in case of crisis. This includes establish communication processes and channels across RPI OMT business Lines.
- Identify and mitigate potential problems in the quality of services provided by IDS to RPI OMT business Lines.
- Promote and communicate IDS policies, standards, and processes.

Education requirements | Minimum Qualifications for this position are a bachelor’s degree IT or related disciplines. |

- 8+ years of relevant experience
- Relevant experience in similar role, in a large oil industry industrial organisation.
- Experience in SAP PM, SAP IS-OIL
- Broad knowledge of various Downstream business processes
- Experience of building relationships with leadership, with a proven ability to influence and collaborate at all levels.
- Knowledge of portfolio management & performance monitoring
