About the Company

Petroleum Development Oman is the leading exploration and production company in the Sultanate of Oman. The Company delivers the majority of the country's crude oil production and natural gas supply.

Purpose of the Job

To supervise electrical operation and maintenance activities for the non-hydrocarbon infrastructure in the Coastal, north and south area. Ensure equipment integrity is maintained in adherence to HSE standards, quality standards, PDO Electrical Safety Rules (ERS), and Electrical Safety Operating Procedures (ESOP).

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equilivant
  •  Minimum of 4 years of experience in Facilities Management Hard Services or Electrical Operations Maintenance, or
  • Higher National Diploma (HND) in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in Facilities Management Hard Services or Electrical Operations Maintenance.

Main Responsibilities

  • Electrical Maintenance: Supervises day to day electrical operation and maintenance activities related to non-hydrocarbon facilities executed in the Coastal area and ensures power availability at all times.
  • Acts as the Company Site Representative (CSR) to direct and supervise service contractors on electrical operation and maintenance activities.
  • Acts as the Authorised Electrical Person and the Control Person in the Coastal area and performs operational duties in adherence to PDO ERS and ESOP.
  • Supervises all electrical operation and maintenance activities executed on non-hydrocarbon electrical equipment, systems, and critical assets in the Coastal area in line with the preventative maintenance plans.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinates with relevant stakeholders to conduct machine breakdown and routine maintenance tasks.
  • Monitors and maintains the integrity of all electrical equipment and systems to ensure operational efficiency and adherence to PDO standards.
  • Troubleshoots electrical abnormalities in equipment and undertakes necessary actions to control emergencies and contain potential hazards in the Coastal area.
  • Collaborates with the Digitalisation team to raise purchase orders through SAP and ensures the required approvals for Purchase Requisitions and Service Entry are available.
  • Monitors electrical load on facilities and equipment and proposes upgrade plans for facilities and equipment with electrical overload.
  • Monitors team members, technicians and contractors execution of electrical operation and maintenance activities and ensures compliance to HSE standards, reports on any violations and lapses to the relevant authority.
